Safety Handling Instructions: This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry. Some food product may contain bacteria that could cause illness if the product is mishandled or cooked improperly. For your protection, follow these safe handling instructions. Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in the refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard.
Cooking Instructions: If frozen, thaw product prior to cooking. Grill: 1. Prepare grill to medium-low heat. 2. Grill desired amount of thawed sausage until temperature reaches 165 degrees F as measured by a food thermometer. Remove from grill and serve. Stovetop: (1) Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add desired amount of thawed sausage; cook until browned, turning occasionally (about 5 minutes). 2. Reduce heat, add 1/2 cup water and cover. Cook an additional 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F as measured by a food thermometer. Remove from skillet and serve. For food safety, cook thoroughly to a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees F as measured by a food thermometer.
