Keep refrigerated at 38 degrees F (3 degrees C) or less. Use within four days of opening. Storage: Ducktrap River smoked mackerel has been carefully wrapped in a vacuum package for your convenience. Since we use no artificial preservatives, it must be kept refrigerated. Your smoked mackerel is best stored for up to 10 days in a refrigerator or until the use by date, whichever is sooner. When opened, smoked mackerel should be well wrapped in the refrigerator and eaten within 4 days. You may also freeze smoked mackerel, if unopened, for up to 3 months.
