There is probably no dessert that has ever compared with this chocolaty creation in its popularity. Through the years, all kinds of cookie recipes have been created, reflecting our appetite for this irresistible dessert. After more than a decade of success with our whole grain Kodiak Cakes Frontier Flapjack and Waffle mix, and more recently with our amazing whole wheat and double chocolate Big Bear Brownies, we set out to meet the cookie challenge. Directions To maintain freshness store in refrigerator or in a cool dry place. You Will Need: 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter (1/4 cup of applesauce may be substituted for half the butter) (softened, not melted); 1 egg. Baking Instructions: 1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. (Use convection heat if you have it). 2. Cream butter and egg. 3. Add entire contents of package and blend until combined. (Dough may be crumbly). 4. Place balls of dough (about golf ball sized) onto an un-greased cookie sheet. 5. Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes, or until cookies are light golden brown.
