Directions 1 pkg NOH Chinese Sweet-Sour Seasoning Mix; 1/2 cup water; 1 pound spareribs, cut into 1 1/2 inches pieces; Optional-1 cup pineapple chunks (1 inch squares). Spareribs: Combine contents of package with 1/2 cup water; blend well and set aside. Place 1 pound of spareribs. Cut into 1-1/2 inch pieces, into a saucepan; add enough water to cover ribs. Bring to a boil and cook 30 minutes, or until tender. Discard cooking liquid. Pour Sweet-Sour sauce over ribs and simmer 5 to 10 minutes; basting frequently. Add pineapple chunks, if desired. This is an excellent low cholesterol recipe. For Other Meats and Dishes: Combine contents of package with 1/2 cup water; blend well and pour over cooked item and simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
