Universal Splint - Each
Finger Splint with Fingertip Protection, Medium
Comforts and protects: fits any finger, no tape required. Attaches with Velcro. Help fingers heal faster! Use for protecting injured finger or fingertip. Allows more ventilation to injured finger than a heavy dressing or bandage. Protects finger from further injury during healing. Approximately 3 inches long.
Step 1: Cleanse wound. Stop any bleeding by direct pressure on wound using a clean gauze pad and elevating hand until bleeding has stopped. Step 2: Apply small amount of antibiotic cream to any areas of broken skin. Step 3: If skin is broken, use a small non-stick sterile gauze pad, then a thin dressing or bandage may be applied by wrapping finger 1-2 times with gauze dressing. Secure dressing with thin strip of adhesive tape. Step 4: Gently mold splint to fit finger firmly but not to tight. Secure splint to finger with cushioned Velcro straps. Wrap straps around finger. If finger becomes blue, cold or numb the splint is too tight and should be loosened. Step 5: If redness, numbness, swelling or pain persists, loosen splint and consult your doctor at once.
