Directions Original Nestle Toll House Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies: 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened 3/4 cup granulated sugar 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2 large eggs 1-2/3 cups (10 oz.) Nestle. Toll House. Dark Chocolate Morsels 1 cup chopped nuts, omitting, add 1 to 2 Tbsp. of all-purpose flour. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F Mop in a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition Beat in flour mixture gradually Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop onto ungreased baking sheets by rounded tablespoon Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Makes about 4-1/2 dozen cookies. Melting direction: Microwave 2 cups morsels in uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on high power for 45 seconds; stir. Microwaves vary. If needed, heat at additional 15-second intervals, stirring vigorously after each interval until melted. Double Boiler: Place 2 cups morsels in top of double boiler over hot (not boiling) water. Do not cover. Prevent water from coming in contact with morsels. When morsels begin to turn shiny, stir constantly until melted. Once melted, immediately remove top pan with melted morsels from bottom pan. We recommend melting no more than 2 cups of morsels at a time. Once melted, use Immediately. Quality Tips: Store morsels in a cool, dry place (60-70 degrees F). Heat and humidity can cause a whitish appearance on morsels that disappears when melted. This is a natural reaction called bloom, and flavor 8 quality aren't affected.
