Gundlach Bundschu Wine Merlot Rhinefarm Vineyard Sonoma Valley 2003 - 750 Ml
Merlot, Rhinefarm Vineyard, Sonoma Valley
Grown, produced & bottled on Rhinefarm Vineyard established in 1858. For six generations and over 145 consecutive harvests, my family has farmed our estate at the southern tip of the Sonoma Valley. This uniquely diverse site, christened Rhinefarm by my great grandfather's grandfather, borders the Carneros district to the south and Napa Valley to the east. Our vineyard ranges from the clay & gravel soils of the valley floor to the rocky, southwest facing slopes of the Mayacamas mountains. The Simple Act of pulling this cork unites you with all of us at Gundlach Bundschu, and connects you with the spirit born over seven thousand years ago when many first began enjoying wine and proclaimed it a gift from God. 2003 Merlot Rhinefarm Vineyard: Soil Type: Rhyolitic Ash and Alluvial Wash; Average Yield: 2.5 tons per acre; Average Vine Age: 6 to 30 years; Elevation: go to 250 Feet; Clones: ENTAV 181 ME 6; Cases Produced: 4,693.
