We will have Founders CBS in a very limited amount of stores starting DECEMBER 1st, 2017! CBS is an imperial stout, brewed with chocolate and coffee aged in maple bourbon barrels!

Below are the list of stores that will receive a limited quantity–stop in before they are sold out!

    What time will bottle sales start in Schaumburg? It’s a 24 hour location which is why I’m asking. Also, what is the bottle limit per person? Thanks.

      Michael, sales will start at 7:00am, or whatever time Alcoholic Beverages are allowed to be sold. It is also first come first serve. We hope this helps! -Cornelius

    Just got off the phone with the store in Gurnee in Grand (Craig) (Store 3405) and he said they won’t be getting any?

    Is there any guarantee that this information is correct? I don’t really feel like missing out due to incorrect information like which was provided for the Goose Island BCBS release.

      Hello!

      All information provided has been correct. These are lists we get from our vendors (Goose Island, Founders). If the product is not delivered as promised from these vendors, unfortunately we have no way of correcting that. We’re so sorry you were lead to believe information posted was incorrect, but this comes directly from the Brewers. We cannot promise how many will be at each location, but this is what was provided to us. Please remember it is first come, first serve! Thanks!

    Hello,

    A previous response provided the number of cases available at a specific location. Is that information known and can be released for the CBS event unlike the bourbon county release? If so, could you please advise on amounts at 3246 and 3348?

    Dear CSR Rep,

    Just writing to confirm that store #3407 is indeed one of the locations which will be receiving a shipment of CBS for sale this Friday, 12/1? I just spoke with the individual “in charge” of the beer department and they had no clue what I was talking about in regards to the Founders CBS release. I provided her with all of the necessary info and asked if there was anyone else I could speak with and she said unfortunately no, that she was the point person. She mentioned multiple times that she’d have to contact her Bud rep (?) even though I reminded her this beer is by Founders… Any help? Any direction? Just fyi, this is a 24-hour store and I’m a bit unsure of the process involved?

    Will this be a four pack release or a 22 oz bomber bottle? Just asking so I know how far the “cases” one Jewel claimed to have. If four packs then (6) to a case if bombers then (12) to case and estimating a one four pack or one bottle limit once arriving on site I will be able to discern if I should wait or bail and go to work and make the money I was about to spend 🙂

    More of a comment than a question, but I hope there really is some kind of limit enforced. I went to a release last year where I couldn’t get anything, but a guy literally was walking out with an entire case in front of me…

    The manager at 3244 said that that store would not be getting their shipment of CBS till later in the afternoon on 12/1. But there is a post in the beginning of this thread that says all stores will sell the beer at 7am unless otherwise noted. It felt a bit like he was trying to put out misinformation, but I am not sure.

      Hello Rick, We have contacted your store and spoke to the liquor manager who states normally it would be sold starting at 7am, however they have not received their shipment and they do not know what time it will arrive. He said it will probably be in the afternoon tomorrow. We suggest contacting your store first thing in the morning for an update. Thank you for asking. -Dolores

    Can you confirm what times stores 3246 and 3348 will begin selling? I called both and neither party that I spoke to seemed to be sure. One advised “maybe 730-8 depending on when they show up”. Thank You.

    Who I talked to at store 3347 didn’t seem to know if they had received their shipment, is there anyway to find out ? I don’t want to get there early to find out that they wouldn’t be selling it until later tomorrow. Thank you for your time and patience with all of the questions!

    Store on Paulina in the city is holding theirs until 10 am. This after the website claiming 7and calling the store I was told 7. Terrible communication.

    Went to the release at store 3240 this morning. About 30 of us had to wait until 740am until someone was able to get into the beer cooler when we were told it would be released at 7am.

    Hi Amber,
    Possibly the worst beer release I’ve been to in recent years.. Stopped by 2 previous days to try and find out if they had the product and a specific time of sale.. Nobody knew…
    Today, arrived at 6am. 1st in line..
    About 7:20 they finally located an Osco manager..
    “Beer is not here yet, not sure when it will arrive” So having to get to work I left and returned about 11am. to see if it had been delivered.. “Oh not yet, but after you left they took down the others phone numbers & the beer is now all spoken for” Great communication and execution.. I guess was I was expecting too much…

    Echoing sentiments above – Jewel Osco absoutely botched this release & this is precisely why stores like Jewel shouldn’t get popular beers. Around 8am, I visited the location in Downers Grove (63rd/Main Street); they said their beer delivery had not arrived and they had no idea when that would occur. They offered to take customer’s name & phone numbers and said they would call us once the shipment did arrive. After not hearing anything, I called back around 1:30pm and the woman at the service desk chuckled and said the beer was long gone. So much for calling people when it arrived. Needless to say, I won’t ever rely on Jewel for my beer purchases again.
