Top 10 Finger Foods

Easy treats for the Big Game…or any other day!

Finger foods are the ultimate game day goodies. They score high in the taste department and are also easy on the dishwasher—no utensils required. Mix and match the following ten ideas any way you please. We suggest serving three items for up to five guests, four items for 5-10 guests, and at least five items for up to 20 guests.

  • 1. Sliders: Grill mini-burgers on a baking sheet at 450° F and top with blue cheese and red onions or cheddar cheese and barbecue sauce. Serve on mini dinner rolls or special slider buns.
  • 2. Nachos: Ground beef, cheese sauce, salsa, olives, jalapenos, sour cream and plenty of chips are a game-worthy snack.
  • 3. Stuffed mushrooms: Sauté chopped onion, chopped zucchini and a bit of fresh minced garlic in olive oil until soft. Season with

salt and pepper. Add a few tablespoons of breadcrumbs, then fill mushroom caps. Broil 5-10 minutes until brown and serve hot.

  • 4. Pizza bites: Buy several kinds of frozen prepared pizza and cook. Cut into 2-inch squares to make finger food portion sizes.
  • 5. Fruit skewers: For a token healthy snack, layer oranges, kiwi, watermelon, grapes and cantaloupe on skewers. Serve with your favorite yogurt as dip.
  • 6. Game day mega mix: Toss chips, pretzels, nuts, chocolate candies, corn chips, popcorn, and anything else you dream up in the biggest bowl you can find.
  • 7. Cheese sticks: Bake frozen mozzarella sticks and serve with marinara and ranch dipping sauces.
  • 8. Chicken wings: Bake frozen chicken wings, toss with jarred or homemade buffalo sauce, and serve with blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.
