Bronzeville Children’s Museum Receives Charitable Donation During Black History Month Celebration

Jewel-Osco presented a $2,500 donation to the Bronzeville Children’s Museum during the annual “Taste of Black History Month” kick-off celebration. The event took place inside the Jewel-Osco 1655 E. 95th Street store and featured samples from more than 30 local vendors and a host of celebrities, including former Chicago Bears Linebacker and Philanthropist Otis Wilson and  Soul Food Scholar author and Chef Adrian Miller.

Additional celebrations will take place at the Jewel-Osco locations listed below from noon until 4pm:

Sat. 2/4           Jewel-Osco, 443 E. 34th Street, Chicago

Sat. 2/11         Jewel-Osco, 87th West 87th Street, Chicago

Sat. 2/18         Jewel-Osco, 7530 S. Stoney Island, Chicago

Sat. 2/25         Jewel-Osco, 17705 S. Halsted, Homewood

    Great Community service program and love to see African American companies highlighted in the Jewel/Osco stores. Jim Siedler and his staff do a wonderful job.
